This route is highly popular for travelers who want to combine a cultural trip to the pyramids with an unhurried, relaxing beach holiday right by the Red Sea.
Our camp, Bedouin Star, sits directly on the pristine coastline between Nuweiba and Taba, offering an open, spacious destination to unwind after your cross-desert journey.

Independent travelers have several straightforward ways to navigate the system connecting the capital to the Red Sea coast. For the fastest and most comfortable journey, you can book a short domestic flight from Cairo straight into Sharm El Sheikh International Airport. Once you land, a private taxi can bring you the remaining distance up the beautiful coastal highway directly to our door.
If you prefer an overland journey, the route is now highly streamlined thanks to the new infrastructure. Drivers head south from the tunnel along the smooth, wide lanes of the new Sharm El Sheikh desert highway, before turning north past Dahab onto the main coastal road to reach our beach gate directly, bypassing the old, winding interior desert tracks entirely.
Alternatively, bus lines run regular routes connecting Cairo terminals directly to Nuweiba. Premium mini-bus services offer a faster express connection across the peninsula, while the larger regional public coaches provide a highly budget-friendly path with more frequent stops. Once you complete your highway journey and arrive in the Nuweiba area, local taxis are readily available at the bus station to bring you the remaining short distance straight to our beachfront pool deck.
